This track went fairly well considering we haven't had a chance to track in grass in a couple of weeks. We did go out on Saturday but the wind and ice were not our friends. Despite this she still did ok, but I was looking forwards to getting back to grass!

She runs to the flag confidently, eats the FD and begins looking for the track. After a few moments of searching she decides on a direction and we are off. We do well until 2:31 where it's clear there's a loss of scent and we head for what she thinks might be an article. She looks around for a bit and starts heading in the correct direction. Our next LOS happens around 3:26 and we starts heading to the right of the track. I let her go and just when I think I need to stop her she heads back towards the track. Things get a bit tricky as we hit the turn. She finds the FD but then seems a little lost. She comes back towards me then heads out at and angle in the directions of the track but totally cutting the turn and goes beyond the track. At this point I realize I should have stopped her before she got too far out. I then end up loosing hold of the line so decide to reset back at the turn (not sure that was the right call)? It takes us a few tries but she finally finds the track again. This leg is a bit harder since there was not a lot of grass and I had to add quite a few FD to help her out. She finishes the track with a beautiful article pick up. Overall I'm not unhappy with how this went. I'd like to get us straight and steady more consistently. To be fair this portion of the park had heavy foot traffic during the snow, since people like to use the hill for sledding. So hopefully we will do better on Saturday. I do see a marked improvement in both my handling and Tilly's posture since last fall, so that's encouraging.
