Goal today :

For Tilly: To indicate an article on the track. To lengthen the food drops to every 5 steps.

For Me: To give her some line when she is going the right direction and supporting her adequately. I can feel her frustration with me when I ma being unclear though the line. I also need to keep my feet still when she is not going the right direction event if she is pulling like a freight train.

Tilly did these things well:
1. Picked up an article on the track for the first time WITHOUT me prompting her (I'm so chuffed about this)!!
2. Worked through a lot of distractions
3. Got back to work when asked
4. Did all her turns super well

What I'd like to improve:
1. Next time I would like her to pick up both articles without a verbal prompt.
2. I need to work on my line handling. I felt like a hot mess out there today haha.
3. I need to bring water on the track since I  forgot it AGAIN ugh...I think she could have used a drink today #mummyfail

Track 1
This was an article track which she did superbly.

Time laid: 5:31 pm
Time ran: 5:38 pm
Length: ~ 192 yards
Temperature: 57 F
Conditions: Partly cloudy with 9 mph (WSW) wind and Humidity 73%.

  1. There was a LOT to like about this track. She is putting it together! And the first article, shazamm!! Your YES marker was perfection. At 1min50, she leaps at something and gets back to work - I would think about moving up the line when she struggles and when she corrects to the track, let a little line out and keep quiet. You are jabbering more than you should. Think about supporting her by moving UP the line closer vs waiting for her to figure out what to do and then you verbally supporting. Does that make sense? For your next class - not sure if you have me or Judi - but remind us that you need help letting out line before you move your feet/follow her and then hustle up the line to be closer. So your teacher should walk behind you, holding on to your vest and talk you through letting a little line out while your feet stay put - then move with her and hustle up the line. You are ready and she is ready. And it is time to lengthen your food drop to every ten steps if you get to track again between now and your next class. Extend food, but wait to let line out and stand still until you are with us. Good job!

    1. Right?!? That article pick up was GREAT!!! Thank you for your sound advice on how to get her to understand what she needs to do. I was so excited she picked it up that I had to stop myself from jumping up and down.

Ok on the jabbering. Will stop haha.

I will mention the "Walk behind me holding my vest" thing to Judi if it's still her teaching our group on Saturday. Thanks!!!
